Garvey Wins 2011 Benny Award for Large-Format Printing
The Garvey Group was awarded with
"The Benny", the highest honor, in the category of large-format
printing at the 2011 Premier Print Awards–the
graphic arts industry's largest and most prestigious
worldwide printing competition–hosted by the Printing
Industries of America.
The winning piece was an in-store display for the movie "Shrek". Printed on Garvey's KBA Rapid 205UV, 81-inch six-color sheet-fed press, this one-of-a-kind display used multiple spot colors and enhanced coating techniques giving it that added magical touch.
This years competition had more than 100 categories and over 2,700 entries.

Garvey Large-Format: Four awards at Pinnacle Print Awards 2011
Competing against 220 entries from printing and graphic
arts firms from the two states, The Garvey Group received:
- One Best of Category
- Two Awards of Excellence
- One Certificate of Merit
All jobs where produced on Garvey's KBA Rapid 205UV, 81-inch six-color sheet–fed press using printing techniques including spot varnishes and UV speciality soft touch coatings. Winning pieces included a Vizio 55" LCD TV box and 3 DVD movie display systems for the films Shrek, Disney Fairies and Prince of Persia.

Garvey debuts at GlobalShop 2011
What is GlobalShop?
GlobalShop is the world’s largest annual tradeshow and conference dedicated to store design, visual merchandising, and shopper marketing. It is the only place where retailers and brand marketers can visit over 600 suppliers in one location.
The Booth
The Garvey Group designed and manufactured their booth using various digital and litho printing techniques.
